Ithaca Opens Play at Crabtree Classic With Sweep of Colby

Rachel Busch was one of three Bombers with double-digit kills

WILLIMANTIC, CONN. - The volleyball team (18-6) opened play at Eastern Connecticut's Crabtree Classic with a 3-0 sweep of Colby. Game scores were 30-19, 30-20 and 30-26. Sophomore outside hitter Rachel Busch recorded 12 kills and tied a career high with three blocks.

Senior outside hitter Amanda Hubbard led the Bomber attack with 16 kills. Senior defensive specialist Mary Schaefer recorded 13 digs, while freshman Taylor Horton tied a career high with four aces.

The Bombers continue play in the Crabtree Classic with a match against Johnson & Wales later today.
